Our account manager Lacey Bonham shares some insights into the delivery of two high profile performances delivered back-to-back at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.

“The Royal Albert Hall is one of our favourite London venues and holds many fantastic memories as we have delivered catering for literally hundreds of events and productions there over the years.

Working at the Royal Albert Hall is always special and as a team we have so much experience at the venue working with both the in-house organising team and the numerous promoters who bring events there.

Most recently I oversaw the delivery of catering for two prestigious ITV shows; the Royal Variety Performance and An Audience with Kylie which were filmed back-to-back.

Both shows were spectacular productions with the Bradley Walsh in charge of hosting for the Royal Variety Performance which saw Cher headlining a medley from the casts of The Lion King, Hercules, Frozen, Aladdin and Beauty and The Beast.

Kylie’s performance featured sequins, sparkles and multiple costume changes and songs from her back catalogue to a pack crowd of celebrity guests.

Our crew led by Soozie Coll were on-site team at 4am on Sunday 26th November for the load-in and it will come as no surprise that they were ready with breakfast rolls for the crew when they arrived later that morning.  Over the next five days we prepped and served almost 2500 meals in total, including a post-show meal for the wonderful Kylie Minogue herself. As always, our team did a wonderful job making sure that crew and artists alike were well looked after.”
