APPLICATION FAQs

HOW DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS WORK?

Once we have reviewed your application, we will be in touch within 7 days, to let you know if you have successful and shortlisted in the next step of the process.

The next step is to offer you a trial shift at one of our upcoming events. Our trials predominately take place in London; however, we do have events across the country. Therefore, we will find the most suitable event to your location where possible.

During the trial, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your skills while working with the on-site team.

After the trial, we will gather feedback from the team and review it alongside your application. A few days after your trial, we will be in touch with the outcome of your application either way.  If successful we will provide you with the on-boarding process.

Please note: Shifts are only offered once the on-boarding process is completed and all relevant documents are submitted.

What is a trial shift?

A trial shift gives you the opportunity to experience how Eat to the Beat operates on site and assess whether the role is a suitable fit for both you and the company.

If you are attending a chef trial, you will work alongside our head chefs in the kitchen, assisting with preparation and general kitchen tasks. You may also be asked to prepare a dish of your own. Please note that chefs are required to bring their own knives and wear appropriate chef whites for the trial.

For a front of house trial, you will join our front of house team, where you’ll be shown how we deliver our service. Your responsibilities may include serving guests from a bain-marie, maintaining clean and tidy dining areas, and replenishing stock as needed.

A trial shift typically last four hours. You will receive £40 towards your travel expenses, which will be paid 2–3 days after completing your trial shift.

Exact timings and event details will be confirmed closer to the date.
