Eat to the Beat has been delivering crew and artist catering to Glastonbury festival for many years now and we always enjoy being back in those hallowed fields at Worthy Farm. This year we dished up artist catering for the Pyramid Stage and Other Stage, along with crew catering for the lovely guys at Aggreko who deliver the festival’s power requirements.
When it comes to festivals and stages, they don’t come much more iconic than Glastonbury and the Pyramid Stage so it’s an event that we’re incredibly proud to be a part of. Not least because it’s ethos and ideals align with our own and it’s a great opportunity to showcase our Sustain’ABLE’ approach, especially as we continue on our journey to achieving B Corp Certification.
At this year’s event we served food that was as sustainable, as it was delicious:
🌱Locally sourced seasonal produce (including rhubarb picked from our Business Director, Mary Shelley-Smith’s Garden on in the desserts).
🌱Plant based options that tasted as fab as they looked.
🌱Nudging; where plant-based options are detailed at the top of menus which has proven to be extremely effective in encouraging people to choose sustainable options.
🌱Accurate food counts to minimise waste, by working in tandem with our colleagues at Our Crew which enables everyone to order their meals via software. This a huge amount of wastage and allows us to cook for the number of orders that have been requested.
🌱No single use plastics, sachets etc.
Another great initiative at this year’s Glastonbury was the inclusion of students studying Event Management degrees at the BIMM Institute in Brighton. The team supplied was wonderful and worked so hard – they did really well in a new environment merging seamlessly with our own teams.
Overall, we received great feedback about the catering, including direct from artists and their families on social media. Roll on 2027!
